Entry & Eligibility Information
Entries Open: Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM
Entries Close: Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 04:00 PM
Championship Division Entry Fee: $135 (includes golf, cart, and range balls each day)
One-Day 70 & Over Division Entry Fee: $70 (includes golf, cart, and range balls)
Eligibility: This tournament is open to female amateur golfers who are members of member clubs of the MSGA with an up-to-date
USGA INDEX of 36.0 or less, who have reached their 50th birthday by midnight of the first day of play. The handicap index must
be at the MSGA member club shown on the entry form.
Age Divisions: 50-54 | 55-59 | 60-64 | 65-69 | 70+ (Two Day) | 70+ (One Day)
Refund Policy: If a player elects to withdraw from the tournament, she must promptly notify the MSGA to ensure that an alternate player has a fair opportunity to play. Full entry fee will be refunded prior to August 23, 2022.
Championship Information
Format/Field Size: The Championship will be a 36-hole (two 18-hole rounds) stroke play competition in divisions according to age. There is a 70+ age division that will be a one-day, 18-hole stroke play competition from a shorter yardage, played on Wednesday. Players age 70 and over may elect to play in either the 36-hole Championship or the one-day 18-hole competition.
Tee Times: The MSGA will assign pairings and tee times which will be available 5 days prior to the event and will be sent to players via email. Pairings for the second round will be available by the same means. Tee times will begin at 8:30am, following with 10 min. intervals between tee-times.
Prizes: The Champion will be the low gross score of the field. Gross prizes and net prizes will be awarded within each age division. In the event of a tie for overall low gross, a hole-by-hole play-off will follow immediately upon the completion of play. Ties for any other prizes will be resolved by a match of cards according to the USGA recommended method.
Rules: USGA Rules govern all play. Entries are subject to rejection by the MSGA or host club at any time, including during the competition. The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct, such as violation of host club policies, or failure to comply with the requirements of the handicap system. Food & Beverage: F&B available for purchase in the pool or clubhouse via cash, card, and chargeback. Ice, water, and coffee will be available in the morning in the water-room on the side of the pro-shop.
Caddies and Carts: Caddies and walking will not be allowed. Players must ride in carts unaccompanied by a caddie. Spectator Carts will not be permitted during this championship with the exception of a spectator who can provide an issued and active Handicap Permit.
